VAT Explained

As an online store that sells robot kits, OnAir and CMST, we at Robot want to make sure that our customers are well-informed about the value-added tax (VAT) that applies to our products. VAT is a tax that is added to the price of goods and services in many countries, including the UK and many other European countries.

In the UK, VAT is currently set at a rate of 20%. This means that all customers based in the UK will have 20% added to the total cost of their order at the checkout. We understand that this can be frustrating for our customers, as it can significantly increase the cost of their order. Unfortunately, as a business, we have no choice but to charge VAT on our products in order to comply with UK tax laws.

For customers outside of the UK, things work a little differently. We do not add VAT to orders being shipped outside of the UK, as the tax laws in different countries vary widely. However, when the kit arrives in your country, your country’s customs officials will collect VAT on the kit. This can range from 10% in Dubai to 19% in Latvia, and may vary in other countries as well.

It’s important to note that Robot Craftsman is not responsible for the VAT that is collected by customs officials in your country. This is a tax that is imposed by your government, and it’s important to budget for it when you make your purchase. We understand that this can be frustrating, but unfortunately, it’s a necessary part of doing business internationally.

If you have any questions about VAT or how it applies to your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. We’re always happy to help our customers understand the ins and outs of international taxes and shipping. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to providing you with high-quality robot kits and accessories!
